Rugby (08/02/10) Sevens Call for Grammar Man Aitken
Aberdeen Grammar full back Steven Aitken has earned a call up to the Scotland sevens squad which play in Las Vegas this week.
Aitken flew out from Lond, having put behind him a leg injury which kept him out of the Rubislaw side for two months earlier in the season.
Aiken, formerly of Ellon, has already played for the Scotland under-21 side.

Hockey (05/01/10): Fawcett to Receive Warburton's Rising Star Fund
Grampian Institute of Sport hockey player, Leigh Fawcett, from Aberdeen, will benefit from an initiative between Warburtons and sportscotland to support young athletes.
Launched in August 2009, Warburton's Rising Star Fund is a new grant-based initiative, which aims to help provide cash to aspiring young athletes aiming to be selected for major competitions, including the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.
