Hockey (26/07/10) Clean Sweep Over Ireland
The Scotland Senior Women, including Aimee Clark and Leigh Fawcett, began the first of a series of three hockey games against Ireland at sunny Forthbank, Stirling on Friday 23rd July, with a single goal victory.
Scotland took the lead early in the second half with former GIS athlete, Nikki Kidd, firing home a drag flick from a corner. A tactical switch after the restart had also led to a much more effective performance with several good chances being created.

Swimming (16/07/10) Hamilton Helps GB Relay Team Win Silver Medal
Stonehaven's Sara Hamilton set a new 100m freestyle personal best and helped GB's 4x100m relay team win the silver medal last night at the European Junior Championships, Finland (14-18 July).
Sixteen year old Hamilton, one of four Scots in the event, had travelled to the competition in Helsinki with the hope of improving on her twelfth place in the 50m freestyle at the same event a year ago.
